Meet Dr. Doreen

Dr. Doreen was awarded the Outstanding Young Orthodontist of the Year in 2022 by the Australian Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Doreen is a dual qualified Dentist and Orthodontist. Doreen completed her Dental Degree in New Zealand and went on to complete a further three years of full time training to specialise as an Orthodontist at the University of Sydney.

Doreen loves being an Orthodontist and she feels great joy in creating beautiful confident smiles for everyone. She truly believes that everyone deserves to have a great smile and she is here to help you achieve that.

Doreen is also a member of various professional bodies. She likes to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies to provide the best patient care. Doreen has presented her research at various international Orthodontic and Dental conferences. She has also won numerous awards and published in a variety of Medical, Dental and Orthodontic Journals. Doreen has a keen interest in Sleep Apnoea and accelerated orthodontic treatment.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Dr. Doreen began her career with a Dental Degree from the University of Otago. She later pursued specialised training in Orthodontics in Sydney, starting in the year 2013. In 2018, she established Ortho Co., a practice dedicated to the art of orthodontics and committed to assisting individuals in achieving confident, healthy smiles.

Dr. Doreen’s noteworthy contributions to the field of orthodontics were recognised in 2022 when she received the prestigious title of Outstanding Young Orthodontist of the Year from the Australian Society of Orthodontists.

In 2016, Dr. Doreen was awarded a Travelling Fellowship to the University of Florence to conduct research on Sleep Apnoea, showcasing her dedication to addressing critical issues in the field while prioritising patient well-being and satisfaction.

Meet Dr. Amy

BDSc (Hons), FRACDS, DClinDent (Ortho)

Dr. Amy Lee is a Specialist Orthodontist who is passionate about creating beautiful smiles for both children and adults. With a gentle and warm demeanor, she emphasises patient care and delivers exceptional patient-centered treatment outcomes.

Her journey into dentistry began with a realisation of the impact and power of a smile, leading her to learn the art of creating beautiful smiles and educating others about the importance of optimal dental health. Dr. Amy graduated with honors from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree.

After graduation, she gained valuable experience as a Dental Officer at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health in Sydney, where she developed skills in managing medically compromised and pediatric patients, as well as comforting those who were nervous or anxious.

Dr. Amy is also passionate about teaching and has been a clinical educator and supervisor at the University of Sydney. She has volunteered with the Vietnam Vision Project, providing dental care and education to rural areas in Vietnam.

With a Fellowship in General Dental Practice from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Sydney, Dr Amy has over 15 years of general dentistry practice, including 10 years of orthodontic training and experience. Her expertise and caring nature are evident in her approach to each patient, building relationships based on trust, empathy, and open communication.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Amy enjoys spending time with her two young sons in Sydney, enjoying sunny days at the beach or engaging in creative activities at home. She is also competitive on the tennis court with her husband and actively supports her son’s soccer games. The Lee household is filled with tickles and cuddles on a daily basis.
